A striking example of early Victorian flow blue transferware, this antique dinner plate features the beloved Tonquin pattern — a romantic Chinoiserie scene depicting figures fishing from a boat, pagodas, palm trees, and lush florals rendered in rich cobalt blue on a crisp white ironstone body.

The characteristic soft, flowing blue glaze is beautifully present throughout, with a densely patterned floral and scroll border. The backstamp reads "Tonquin" with a maker's mark consistent with mid-19th century English production.
